Joyce Anna De Stefano, aged 84, of Mayo, FL, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024. Born on May 29, 1940, in Union Beach, NJ, to August and Anna Plager, Joyce moved to Mayo seventeen years ago from Stewart, FL. She dedicated her life to her faith as a Nun and also worked at W/D in Stuart, FL. Joyce was a cherished member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church community.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Joyce Ann Pittman, and her husband Preston, Sr., of Mayo, FL, along with her loyal dog, Deseree and her five turtles. Her legacy continues through her grandsons, Brian James Pittman, Preston O. Pittman, Jr. "Bubba" and his wife Becca, and Marshall A. Pittman and his wife Mattie, as well as her six great-grandchildren: Luke Riley Pittman, Camden Pittman, Ellie Pittman, Ada Pittman, Mason Pittman, and Mason Barnett. Joyce also leaves behind her adopted daughter, Shannon Cummings, and several dear friends including Tanyia, her God child, Kirestin, and Betty Warren. Her cousins, Karen Turner of GA, Diane Parling of Alaska, and Astrid & Ray, Jr Scelfo, Darrayn Zentz, Brean Turner, along with a very special person, Gloria Johnson of Mayo, will fondly remember her.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony James De Stefano and great- granddaughter: Kinslee Pittman. Her life was a testament to her faith, love for her family, and dedication to her community.
