In Loving Memory of
June Gomillion Buchanan
April 24, 1942 - November 1, 2026
June Gomillion Buchanan, age 84, passed away on November 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, unconditional love, and a family who will forever cherish her.
June was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, great-grandmother and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Her love for the Lord was the foundation of her life, and her love for her family was evident in everything she did. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, loved, and at home. To know her was to love her, and her presence brought something special to everyone that was fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
Above all, she treasured her family. She leaves behind her husband of 65 years, William Lewis “WL” Buchanan, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories.
She is also survived by her four children: Julie (Rich) Mortlock, Teri (Bubba) Langford, Michele (Derek) Aultman, and Michael (Michelle) Buchanan.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren who affectionally called her “ Memommy”. Amanda (Andy) Lamb, Britney (Robert) Carroll, Ricky (Haley) Mortlock, Clent (Cortney) Flowers, Tyler (Shelley) Fortner, Kaitlin (Kristopher) Pearson, Devin (Miranda) Buchanan, Kyle (Brooklynn) Fortner, Mikayla Buchanan and Kaydan Aultman. She was also blessed with 18 great- grandchildren whom she treasured: Noah, Logan, Easton, Brayden, Anslee, Keelan, Lane, Ross, Rylan, Bennett, Garrett, Clay, Lyra, Declan, Wade, Brody, Skylar and Zaybrian.
She is also survived by her sister, Evielee Gibson O’Neill; sisters in law, Linda Buchanan and Nancy Buchanan, and nephew Glen Gibson.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Aline Gomillion and her nephew Mark Gibson.
Though her family will deeply miss her, the love she poured into their lives will never be forgotten. The lessons she taught, the prayers she prayed, the memories she created and the faith she lived by will continue through the generations she leaves behind.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that her earthly journey has ended, but her eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has just begun.
“Well done, good and faithful servant. “-Matthew 25:23
