Karen Sue Heckert, 79, Chiefland, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. The New Lebanon, Ohio-born native lived in Chiefland for five years,  was of Baptist Faith, and worked as a meat cutter for Publix. She was a very independent woman who loved to go fishing, work in her yard, and loved her dogs, especially her chihuahua Buddy. Ms. Heckert is survived by her sisters: Holly Kinney, Live Oak, Barb Voris, Chiefland, FL; brothers: Rodney Heckert, Port Charlotte, Jim Heckert, Lake Worth, Bruce Heckert (Mary Beth), Palmerton, PA; numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a service held in Ohio at a later date.
