Katherine Michalec, 88, of O'Brien, FL. passed away on December 28, 2024. She was born on May 17, 1936, to the late William and Juila Yocum Bassett. Mrs. Katherine loved sewing and spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. To know Mrs. Katherine was to love her, she was a wonderful, warm, loving mom to everyone who knew her.

Katherine is survived by her husband of 68 years: Dr. Richard Michalec. Daughter: Debbie Mckee (Bob); Son: Steve Michalec (Melinda); Grandchildren: Starr Michalec, Hobi Michalec, Slade Michalec, Ricky Mckee (Jade) and Robert Mckee (Seven) and Great-Grandchildren: Colt and Stormie Amos.

She is preceded by her parents William and Juila Bassett along with her brother Bill Bassett.
