Lamar Jenkins, 84, Live Oak, FL passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, after a short illness. The lifelong resident of Live Oak served as the Senior Class President for Suwannee High School's class of 1957, served as a Florida FFA State Officer in 1957-58 and also served as the Vice President of the Suwannee Valley Youth Livestock Show & Sale. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, where he also served as Deacon. Mr. Jenkins was also a member of the Live Oak Shriners, Kiwanis, and served as Master Mason for Elks Lodge. He owned/operated Jenkins Farm in Live Oak, retired after forty-eight years as Suwannee County Property Appraiser and served as a past President of the Property Appraisers Association.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife of sixty-four years: Hazel Y. Jenkins, Live Oak, FL; one daughter: Louisa Lyons (Ricky), Mayo, FL; one son: Lamar "Bubba" Jenkins, Jr., Live Oak, FL; five grandchildren: Chad Lyons, Mayo, FL, Tori Lyons, Mayo, FL, Lamar Jenkins, III, Live Oak, FL, Laken Kremer (Joseph), Live Oak, FL, Jordan Lang (Sean), Naylor, GA and one great-grandchild: Theodore Kremer.

Services for Mr. Jenkins will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 20th at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wilbur Wood officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be a visitation held on Sunday, November 19th at Daniels Funeral Home from 3:00-5:00 pm.
