Lanny A. Jones, aged 80, of Branford, FL, passed away on August 27, 2025. He was born in Lake City, FL, on May 20, 1945. Lanny moved to Branford twenty-five years ago from Lake City. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran, having served in the United States Army. Lanny worked as a salesman for Badcock & More in Lake City, retiring after 16 years of dedicated service. He was also known for his musical talent, singing with the 'Pate Family Singers' from Branford. Lanny was a devoted member of the Branford Church of God.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-seven years, Dennie Jo Jones of Branford, and his children: Candin O'Neil (Mike) of Lakeland, FL, Paula Brown (Ken) of Ocala, FL, Crissy Grimsley (Terry) of Mulberry, FL, Robert Jones (Kathy) of Spring Hill, FL, Joel Jones (Julie) of Mayo, FL, and Lawaine Thompson (Tonie) of Winter Haven, FL. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Mulvihill (Greg) of Clearwater, FL, and Glenda Jones of Detroit, MI, and his brother, Lee Descaro (Monique). Lanny was blessed with twenty-one grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank Jones and Josie Frances Descaro, brother, Joe Jones, and his son, Landon Jones.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 6th at the Branford Church of God, with services following at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Dale Dansby and Rev. John Hathaway. Internment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
