Mr. Lavoy G. Cogdill, 75, passed away, on April 11, 2022, at the University of Shands Hospital following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Gordon and Lucille Cogdill. He had made Live Oak his home for the past year after moving here from Pompano, FL. He worked as a General Contractor for many years and as a Plans Examiner for the City of Hollywood, FL for three years. Lavoy enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking, and building things.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years: Betty Cogdill, Live Oak, FL; two daughters: Cherie Anslow, Pompano, FL; Tabatha Vargo (Micha) Live Oak, FL; two sons: Danny Lee Cogdill, Pompano, FL, James Gordon Cogdill, Live Oak, FL; two sisters: Mary Etta (Pete) Daytona, FL, Shirley Cogdill, North Carolina; one brother: Dan Cogdill (Barbara) Pompano, FL; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Daniels Funeral Homes and Crematory.
