LaWana Mae Charles Wiggins, 95, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at home in Crawfordville, FL. Born in Columbia County, she moved to Miami in 1941 where she found work to provide for her family. She worked at a jewelry store in Allapattah & soon after met & married Marshall Henry Wiggins in 1947. She worked as a cashier at Winn Dixie in Hialeah & in 1985, upon Marshall's retirement, moved to Wellborn & worked at Winn Dixie in Live Oak. LaWana spent the last 16 years of her life in Crawfordville. She was an endlessly loving wife, mother, & grandmother surrounded by the love of family, friends, & neighbors. LaWana will forever be remembered for her immeasurable faith. Mrs. Wiggins is survived by her daughter: Karen Wiggins, Crawfordville; son: Marshall Dale Wiggins, Dothan, AL: sister: Edith Kent, Live Oak; brothers: Russell (Carolyn) Hancock, Wellborn, and Ronnie (Linda) Hancock, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Marshall Dale Wiggins, Jr, Leigh Ann (Adam) Green, and Stockton (Jacque) Wiggins; great-grandchildren: Adalei Green, Emme Green, Paxton Wiggins, and Bennett Wiggins. She was preceded in death by her husband: Marshall Henry Wiggins; son: Gary Leigh Wiggins; granddaughter: Marsha Elaine Wiggins. LaWana Wiggins will be honored on Monday, May 9, 2022, with a visitation at 10 AM & service at 11 AM at Daniels Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Vincent Spencer.
