Lawanna "Pat" Strickland, 87, of Live Oak, FL, went to her heavenly home on August 8, 2024,
after a brief illness. Born on December 20, 1936, in Houston, FL, Pat was the cherished
daughter of the late Shellie Grantham Keene and Jarod Keene. In 1976, she and her family
moved back home to Live Oak, where she lived a life full of love, grace, and dedication to her
family and community.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Flarzell Strickland, her parents,
and her three sisters, Wealthy Westerfield, Doris Woods, and Marilyn Maloy. She is survived by
her brother, Wesley Keene of Live Oak, her devoted daughter Gail Beard (David) of Live Oak,
and her sons John and David Strickland. Pat's legacy lives on through her four grandchildren,
Corey Couture (Monika), Jamie Quintanilla (Jay), Shellie Young (Shelbi), Chip Strickland, and
ten great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were
touched by her kindness and generosity.

Pat spent 17 dedicated years serving her community as an employee of Southwest Florida
Blood Bank at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL. She was a woman of strong faith, finding
joy in worshiping her Lord and Savior. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Pat
loved her family fiercely and was a champion in their lives, always providing unwavering support and encouragement.

Pat found peace and pleasure in the simple things, whether it was tending to her flower garden
or reading a good book. Her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she will be
remembered for the strength, warmth, and compassion she shared with everyone who knew
her.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 14th at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Live
Oak, FL. Family visitation will take place from 10:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00
am.

Pat will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
