Leo "L.J." Mobley, Sr., 90, McAlpin, FL passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022. The lifelong resident of McAlpin was a Korean Conflict Veteran while serving in the Army; where he received the Purple Heart for wounds received in action, the Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Korean Service Ribbon with two campaign stars. Mr. Mobley owned and operated Mobley's Custom Cuts in McAlpin since 1980. He was also a member of the Live Oak Elks Lodge, Masons, Shriners, and the Live Oak Church of God.  Mr. Mobley is survived by his daughters; Dee Pournelle (Dewey), McAlpin, Gwen Kirkland (Jeff), Live Oak, Robin Eyer, McAlpin; sons: Vann Mobley, McAlpin, Leo J. Mobley, Jr. (Melissa), Live Oak, FL; sisters: Betty Touchton, Live Oak, FL, Mamie Gatchell, Live Oak, FL, Maxine Kelly (Jerry), Jacksonville, FL, Bonnie Moseley (Keith), Live Oak, FL; brothers: Franklin Mobley, Live Oak, Reese Mobley (Charlene), Live Oak; five grandchildren: Jamie Senea, John Pournelle, Jeffrey Kirkland, Amanda Norris, Lily McPherson; ten great-grandchildren: Lindsey, Nathan, Clayton, Madelyn, Taelyn, Tripp, Jake, Jordan, Madison, Robert, Jr., and one great-grandchild: Ellie Mae. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-six years: Bonnie Mobley; his brothers: Perry, Howard, Charles, and his son-in-law: Robert Eyer. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, June 15th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Daniels Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 16th at Live Oak Church of God with Rev. Wes Tanksley officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
