Loren Davis Kewanimptewa, 65, of Live Oak, peacefully passed away on July 27, 2025. Born on February 12, 1960, in Winslow, Arizona, he was the son of the late Davis and Charlotte Kewanimptewa. Loren moved to Live Oak in 1995 after dedicating seventeen and a half years of service in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer.  During those years he also served as a drill sergeant.  Upon his retirement from the military, he began working in the paint department at W.B. Howlands.  He was also a devoted member of Clayland Baptist Church serving for many years in children's ministries, the van ministry, and as the music leader.  He loved worship and singing praises to the Lord.  In his spare time, he loved working outside in the garden and in the yard with some occasional woodworking projects.

Loren is survived by his daughters: Emily Kewanimptewa, Caroline Kewanimptewa, and Sarah Kewanimptewa, his sons: Davis Kewanimptewa and Samuel Kewanimptewa, and his best friend of 39 years Edith Kewanimptewa.  He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter Laura Kewanimptewa. Loren is also survived by his sisters: Marlene Kewanimptewa, Carole O'Hara, Gloria Harper, and Mae Yazzie, his brothers: Casey Kewanimptewa, Carl Talayumptewa, A. J. Johns, and Davis Kewanimptewa along with many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Leroy Talayumptewa, Harold Talayumptewa and Willard Kewanimptewa.

The family has chosen cremation as the final disposition. No services are scheduled at this time.
