Louis C. Alexander II, age 72, of Live Oak, passed away on May 21, 2026. Born on September 16, 1953, to the late Louis Carter Alexander and Letha Bell Alexander, Louis lived in Live Oak as a youth and returned there for the past almost 20 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Washington, D.C., after 33 years of dedicated service. A member of Westwood Baptist Church, Louis was passionate about his love for the Lord and sharing the Gospel. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and cheering for the Texas Longhorns. Above all, he cherished his roles as a husband, father, and especially as "Poppy" to his beloved grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Chauncey Alexander; his daughter, Stephanie Alexander (Shane Smith); his stepdaughters, Terri Driver (Ronald) and Sherri Felknor (Ryan); his sister-in-law, Martha Ann Jones; and his three wonderful grandchildren, Audrey, Andrew, and Abigail. Louis was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Inman Jones.

A visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, at Daniels Memorial Chapel, followed by a service at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Dr. Ben Bush. Interment will follow at Rocky Sink Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to the home afterward for a meal and time of fellowship.
