Louis DeBono, 94, was born in New York City in 1929. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday morning, September 23, 2023. He was married to Barbara Jean Savage for 61 years when his wife passed away. Louis and Barbara had 4 children: Claire, Ross, Robert, and Michael.

Louis came to Live Oak in 1970 to build his shirt manufacturing business, Jayco Industries, along with his brothers, Michael and Joe. He retired in 1981 and stayed in Live Oak for the rest of his life. He came to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at the same time and dearly loved his church family.

Louis was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Barbara; children: Claire and Robert.

He is survived by his sons: Ross (Donna) DeBono and Michael (Tamie) DeBono; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

There will a funeral mass at 2 pm on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
