M. Donald Owens, 90, of Branford, FL passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, in his home. The Ocala, FL-born native Lived in Branford all of his life. He was a second-generation owner/operator of Owens Furniture, Branford from 1946 to 1987. He then became an Agriculture Inspector for the state of Florida serving and retiring after 20 years in Branford. Mr. Owens served 13 years as Mayor of the Town of Branford and attended the First Baptist Church, Branford.

Mr. Owens is survived by his wife of 71 years: Billie J. Bailey Owens, Branford; Daughters: Donna Rae Reid (Phillip) and Melissa O'Neail (Troy) both of Branford; Brother: Robert E. "Bob" Owens, Branford: 4 grandchildren: Ehrin Beach (Emily), Brook Morris, Chad Morris (Kaila), and Devin Morris (Anna); 4 great-grandchildren: Kiley, Kendall, Karoline, Amelia, and one future great-grandson Owen Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin & Dorothy Ray Owens and a daughter Cathy Jean Owens.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in the First Baptist Church, Branford with Mr. David Campbell and Pastor Tony Alexander officiating. Interment following in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
