Margaret Ann Pittman went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2023 in the Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park, FL. Peggy, as she was called, was born in Puebla, Mexico to Richard and Catherine Pittman, who were serving as Bible translators among the Tetlecingo Aztecs. She moved frequently growing up with her parents living, in addition to Mexico, in Carenport, Saskatuan, Canada; Streator, IL; Wheaton, IL; Highlands, NJ; Sulphur Springs, AR; Grand Forks, ND; and Seattle, WA. Peggy graduated from high school in Noel, MO, while living with her grandparents in Sulphur Springs, AR. She then went to Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL and West Suberban Hospital in Oak Park, IL for her RN and her BS. Peggy served for some time with Wycliffe Bible Translators in the Philippines and later in Colombia, South America. She cared for her aged grandparents in Highland, NJ for many years also working as a nurse. Later she moved to Waxhaw, NC to care for her aging parents until they passed away. Peggy retired at Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park, FL. Peggy never married. She loved the Lord and was a blessing and encouragement to many. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Dan and Marilou Weaver. She is survived by her brother, Bob and nieces and nephews: Lori Peiffer, Scott Weaver, Terry Weaver, Ray Pittman, Jeff Pittman, Steven Pittman and Katie McIntosh. She also had 24 great nieces and nephews.
