Margaret Ann Ward, 94, passed away on August 11, 2022, at the home of her youngest son Jim Ward, where she had resided for the past 10 years. Margaret was born in Lakeland, Florida, and she lived and grew up in Bowling Green and Fort Meade, Florida. She married John Randal Ward of Fort Mead, Florida, and together they had three Sons: Randal Lee, John Sherrod, and James Allen Ward. Margaret and her sons moved to O'Brien, Florida in the mid-sixties. She loved to fish, take care of her cows, and pick up and sell pecans. She not only was mother to her children but also to many nieces, nephews, and their friends, who enjoyed coming to spend the summer at the farm. She was affectionally known by all as Aunt Margaret. Margaret is survived by three sons, Randal Ward (Kimberly) of O'Brien, Florida, Sherrod Ward (Marsha) of O'Brien, Florida, and Jim Ward (Bonita) of Branford, Florida; 6 grandchildren: Glen Ward, Jared Ward, Adam Ward, Erin Ward, Charles Ward, Evin Ward; 8 great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law Lettie Mae Lee. She was preceded in death by her father Benjamin Alexander Lee, her mother Harriette Morgan McLean Lee, her husband John Randal Ward, her sister Clara E. Wells and two brothers Ben A. Lee and Malcolm M. Lee. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Branford Church of God, in Branford, Florida. There will be a graveside service at Corinth Church Cemetery in Fort Meade, Florida at a later date.
