Marvin "Mickey" Delegal, aged 86, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on January 5, 2026. A lifelong resident of Live Oak, Marvin was known for his dedication and service. He worked on his family farm until being drafted by the Army. He later worked as an Inspector for Gold Kist. Marvin served with the Department of Agriculture and retired as a Sergeant with over 20 years of service. After retirement, he continued tending to cattle and then trees, and enjoyed spending time with his wife and dogs.
In his later years, Marvin cherished moments with his friends and family, sharing stories and generously offering what he grew and had in his home. He was a loving and generous man, and a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church.
Marvin is survived by his daughter, Karen Patten and her husband John; his son, Craig Delegal and his wife Denise; his brother, Charles Delegal; five grandchildren: Craig Delegal, Jr., Alelia Delegal, Kimberly Merritt, Kathy Patten, and John MD Patten (Sasha); eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda E. Delegal.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 9th at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, with a visitation at 10 am prior to the service. Rev. John Kerry will officiate, and interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
