Mary E. Berry – age 94, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2023 following a short illness with family by her side.  She was born 1928, in Live Oak, Fl to the late Roger and Vera Gaylard. Survived by her long-time friend and love, Louis Berry; brother Fred Gaylard (Goldie) daughter Julia Lovvorn (Rickey); grandchildren: Tracie Perbtani (Ali), Chris Dang (Nichole), Charles Brim (Brandi), Lori Tucker (Stephen), and Loi Tran Jr. (Brittany); 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  All of those she loved and touched deeply. She was preceded by her loving daughter Mary Yvonne Brim (Charles); beloved brother Elva Gaylard and two great-grandchildren.  As a mother, grandmother, and mentor she loved to garden, sew, and cook anything for anyone especially her grandchildren.  Mary most of all was known for her kind heart.  She loved her family and friends and instilled good values in her children and grandchildren that have served them well.  For many years Mary assisted her husband Louis Berry in ministry.  It was her selfless heart to help those in need which was her greatest passion. She had a servant's heart.  It came from the joy that abounds in as being a Christ filled believer. The spirit of joy dwelled in her heart because she was transformed by Christ, and because of this she had love one to another. Her life goal was to ease pain through kindness, in line with one of her favorite Bible verses Proverbs 31:26 – "She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue."  She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.  A visitation and celebration of Mary's life will be held at Mt. Olive Church on Monday,  April 17th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. for visitation, services at 11:00 a.m. and internment will be following at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, 5314 98th Terrace, Live Oak, FL, United States, Florida . In lieu of flowers or donations, "Mrs. Mary" known to many would request you to spread Christ's love to everyone.
