Mary Lou "Lucy" Vaughn, aged 81, of O'Brien, FL, passed away on July 18, 2026. She was born on March 12, 1945, in Miami, FL. Lucy moved to O'Brien from Homestead in 2004 and was a cherished member of the O'Brien Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Candace Pereira of O'Brien; her sons, Jimmy Cross and his wife Kat of O'Brien, and Tony Maldonado and his wife Josette of Homestead. She also leaves behind her sister, Linda Baker, and brother, Buddy Bailey, both of Guymon, OK. Lucy was a beloved grandmother to ten grandchildren and had numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas "Tom" Vaughn.

A visitation will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, July 29, at Daniels Memorial Chapel in Branford, followed by a service at 11 am. Interment will take place at O'Brien Cemetery.
