Mary Loretta Snyder (nee Westenbarger) died peacefully on Oct 9, 2023, after enduring a long journey through Alzheimer's. She was the same sweet, kind, gentle and caring person to the end.

Loretta is survived by 6 children: Robert W "Bob" Snyder of Albuquerque NM, Patricia "Pat" Snyder (formerly of Maui HI) and Laura Thrall (Ed) all of Lake City FL, David Snyder (Ethel) of St Augustine FL, Terence "Terry" Snyder of Akron OH, and Susan Taylor (Chris) of Fort Pierce FL. She also leaves a sister "Mickey" (Don) Spagnuolo of Fairlawn OH. She has 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Robert C "Bob" Snyder, her son Timothy "Tim" Snyder, and her brother Francis "Fritz" Westenbarger.

She was born November 23, 1932, in Akron Ohio, to Francis M and Mary Pauline Westenbarger (nee Keenan). Loretta attended the University of Akron and belonged to the Theta Phi Alpha sorority. She was married to Bob from 1952 until his death in 2000. Loretta was a lifelong, devout, and active member of the Catholic church for her entire life, including being a member of the Altar Society and a Eucharistic Minister.

Loretta was proud to say, "I had 7 children and lived in 7 states!", including Maui HI for 10 years. She loved music and singing, flowers and pretty things, chocolate and going out to eat, her family and God. She was as lovely as she always looked, and we will all miss her dearly.

Services will be held at 11 am Oct 14, 2023, at Daniel's Funeral Home 1126 Ohio Ave North, Live Oak FL 32064, viewing begins at 10 am.
