Michael John Margo,73, of Dowling Park, FL., passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, in the Good Samaritan Center, Dowling Park. His first job was with the State of Florida Road Department and later went on to the Dade County School Board in Miami, Fl for over 30 years. After retiring he began working for the Publix Grocery Store in South Florida where he later transferred to Live Oak from where he has lived for the last 31 years. Mike loved all sports, especially wrestling and his Florida Gators. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Miami Dolphin fan also. Mike was an active St. Francis Xavier Church member where he sang in the choir and was a Knight with the King of Knights of Columbus for many years. The best way to describe Mike, he was a gentle giant. He loved his most recent home at the Advent Christian Village which he called the "Ranch." Mike will be missed by all.

He is survived by his brother: Patrick John Margo (Mary Jane), Warne, NC; sister: Diane Margo Rose (Gary), Pembroke Pines, FL; Nieces: Sarah Margo Heacock (Geoff), Concord, NC, and Rachel Margo Rangel (Danny), Weaverville, NC: nephews: Patrick Margo, Jr. Hiawassee, GA, Jay Rose, Hollywood, Fl, Chad Rose, Davie, Fl and Kyle Rose, Pembroke Pines, FL; 12 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harry and Virginia Margo; brother: Dennis John Margo and his loving wife of 34 years Shirley Jean Gulledge Margo. Services will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, April 29, 2022, at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Live Oak, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations can be made to the Advent Christian Village or the St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church.
