Mildred Jane Mccoy Bass, Live Oak, Fl  passed away on July 27, 2023. Mrs. Bass was pre-deceased by her parents: George Clarence & Ida Hatfield Mccoy,  Burnwell Ky; and brothers - Vernon Henry Mccoy, George Clarence Mccoy, Jr., Lonnie L. Mccoy, Larry P. Mccoy; and sister Linda Mccoy Lott. She is survived by her husband: Winston Bass; two sons: Rodney (Cara) Bass, Eric (Stephanie) Bass; six grandchildren; brothers: Frank (Anita) McCoy, Burnwell, KY,  David McCoy, Richmond, KY and sister, Martha (Danny) McCoy Harvel, Richmond KY. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mildred loved to visit her family and childhood home in Kentucky and was proud of her Hatfield-McCoy heritage. She was a 1964 graduate of Belfry High School, and after moving to Florida she worked as a telephone operator in the office at Occidental Petroleum. For many years she also made and sold beautiful flower arrangements and crafts, including returning many years to Kentucky to set up a booth at the annual King Coal Festival.
