Morris Allen Day, 85, Live Oak, FL passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023. The Greenville, FL born native moved to Live Oak in 1967 from Greenville, was a member of Rocky Sink Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Wellborn, FL. He served in the United States Army and retired from Occidental Chemical in 1991 as an Electrical Supervisor. Mr. Day is survived by his wife of sixty-two years: Dorothy "Dot" Day, Live Oak; daughter: Joyce Cameron (Jeff), Live Oak, FL; son: John Day, Jr. (Heidi), High Springs, FL; sister: Edna Cox, Jacksonville, FL; brother: Isaac Day, Warner Robbins, GA; five grandchildren: Kelly Landis (Mike), Ashley Staley (Tony), Sherry Stewart (Jason), Zackari Day, Landon Day; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 11:00 am at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Chauncey and Rev. Bruce Wehner officiating. There will be a visitation held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. A private family graveside will be held in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 US HWY 90 W Lake City, FL 32055 or a charity of your choice.
