Nancy passed away peacefully in her home on June 29, 2026, surrounded by her beloved friends, family, and faithful companion, Pucci.

Born in Ohio during the Depression, Nancy retained a lifelong frugality, paired with a generosity of spirit and a wry sense of humor; she was an inspiration and joy to know.

An adventurous soul, she moved to California after graduation and spent several years there before moving to Southern Florida. She settled in Branford, Florida on her cherished property, Morningstar Tree Farm in 2008. She was a devout Catholic and member of San Juan Catholic Mission Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and John Carr, grandchildren Jonathan Pettie and Elizabeth Ashley and nephews Jim and Jimmy Pettie.

She is preceded in death by her "honey", husband Paul Pettie and sons, John Ashley and Christian Pettie.
