Norma Jean, born on May 23, 1939, in Live Oak, Florida, to the late Johnnie and Estelle Hingson, shared a lifetime of love and devotion with her husband, Benjamin Robert Andrews, Sr., for 67 years until his passing in June 2025. A dedicated and faithful member of Westwood Baptist Church, Jean devoted countless hours to serving children through various ministries, including Vacation Bible School, backyard VBS, Sunday School, GA’s, and Acteens. She was always ready to help wherever there was a need.
Though described as a homemaker, Jean was never idle. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and others, spending countless hours sewing, quilting, canning, and preparing meals for those in need. Her generosity, servant’s heart, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her three children, Ben (Carol) Andrews, Jr., Becky D. Corbin, and Diane (Kenny) Tosh; two brothers: Eddie (Sherri) Hingson, Henry (Judy) Hingson; six granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 2nd, at Westwood Baptist Church, with the service following at 1:30 pm. Interment will take place in Live Oak Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Westwood Baptist Children's Outreach Ministry.
