Opal Zimmerman, 82, of Branford, FL passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Opal was born and raised in Lafayette County, FL where she was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Walker Creek Bethel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth Jackson Zimmerman; daughter: Pamela Corbin; granddaughter: Destiny; sister: R.V. Stephens; and brother: Frank Dees.

Opal is survived by her daughter: Tina (Jim) Ritchey; son: Jackie (Cathy) Zimmerman; sisters: Lavinia Dees; Tressie Lambert; Mary Lambert; brother: Ernest Dees; grandchildren: Travis, Justin, Rainy, Jamie, Ryan, Tabitha, Austin, Dylan; great-grandchildren: Audrina, Ryleigh, Jackson, Ayden, Tristan, Emilynn, Watson, MayClay, Kelsea, Kylee, Kenna, Jackson, Pamela.
There will be a funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Opal's life at 11 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2023, at Walker Creek Bethel Baptist Church, Branford, FL. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Old Hatchbend Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
