Rev. Orvis Amerson, 90, Of Branford, FL went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on Friday, March 8, 2024. Mr. Amerson was born in Hahira, GA to the late Herbert and Bedie Miley Amerson. He moved to the Branford area in 1976 from Melbourne, FL. Rev. Orvis was a longtime member of Branford Masonic Lodge #130 F&AM where he served as chaplain and the OES Chapter 112. He worked in service and repair for Texgas and Suburban Propane from 1977-1998. His true passion was in ministry and he was the former pastor of Grace Baptist Church starting in 1988. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Alma Byrd Amerson; second wife: Abbie Jean Amerson; and granddaughter: Jennifer Wallace.
He is survived by his daughters: Sharon (Tom) Yarbrough, Wanda (Bill) Wallace, Kathy (Terry) Riordan; son: Ronnie (Beth) Amerson; sister: Miriam Byrd; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

There will be a funeral service to celebrate Rev. Amerson's life and ministry on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 11 am at Grace Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 10-11 before the service.
