Patrick Chesney Allbritton, Sr., 67, Live Oak, FL passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. He was born March 28, 1956 to Hubert and Maria Allbritton. He is survived by his wife: Georgette H. Allbritton; two sons: Patrick "Junior" Allbritton of Live Oak, Dan (Carmen) Oxford of Atlanta; grandchildren: Tyler and Brantley of Live Oak, Casandra of Atlanta; brother/sisters: Fonzie (Shirley) Allbritton, Janet (Hal) Airth and Eva (Bob) Neal.

He married Georgette Hunter  on July 19, 1980.They were married 43 years, partners in business and life and inseparable since retirement.

Pat always told others that his success in business was attributed to his wife who always had ready for him a white, starched shirt, pressed pants, and shined shoes.

Born into a Suwannee County farming family, he worked as a teenager at his father's business, Allbritton Tractor Company. He later joined the farming operation and G & P Farms was established growing watermelons, corn, tobacco, clay peas, and combining grass seed for himself and others. He continued his interest in farming, operating a large straw business while owning /building Gateway Chevrolet in Lake City.  After retiring, he returned to his roots purchasing and restoring vintage tractors when his health allowed.

Pat began as a salesperson in 1985 for Summers Chevrolet and continued working at the dealership as it transitioned to Gateway Chevrolet as owner-dealer-operator until selling to Eddie Acardi in 2002.

He also owned/operated Gateway Used Car Supercenter until 2007.

In 2003, he returned to Live Oak to purchase and remodel the Pontiac/GMC dealership and operated it as Allbritton Pontiac/GMC until its closing in 2007.

Pat entered college soon after and graduated cum laude in May of 2017 with his Bachelors in Accounting.  He also developed a passion for writing and eventually purchased a speech to type app to get his thoughts down quicker than he could hunt and peck.

After graduation, he worked at Tax Solutions of Lake City for a short time until his health forced him to retire again.

Pat and Georgette became interested in reducing the feral cat population and rehomed/spayed or neutered 21 cats that found their way into the yard, His fascination with Maine Coon cats led him to adopt two kittens who he promptly named Butch and Sundance.  He delighted many with the antics and adventures of these two huge cats.

Services will be held at Daniels Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 am with a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  A graveside service will be held at the Live Oak Cemetery.
