Paul H. Mercer, 71, entered into God's kingdom April 24, 2023 unexpectedly. He was born October 10, 1951, to Buddy and Ethel Mercer

Paul was the most loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; sons Stephen Mercer and Philip Mercer; daughter, Ashley Smith; son in law Ronald Smith; daughter in law Rebekah Mercer; grandchildren Avery Smith, Luke, Elena, and Annabelle; brother James (Connie Mercer) Mercer; sisters Susan (Wayne) Beaver, Kathy Mercer Raper, Sharon Simmons, and Lori Mercer. He was preceded in death by his parents Buddy and Ethel Mercer.

He spent his life working hard for his family providing. When he wasn't working or helping others, you can bet he was working on his farm or working out. He loved farming and it brought him joy to be out on the farm in his last days working on his land.

As a man of true integrity, Paul would never budge under any circumstances on his beliefs about God, about what is right and wrong with the world as we see it today. He was a man with a simple taste, he focused on providing his family with the best life possible without worrying about himself.

Paul was truly a great man whose life impacted anyone's that ever had the chance to meet him. He was a selfless man whose passing left an open space in the hearts of all his loved ones. All the sacrifices, support, and love he gave to those around him will be forever engrained in that knew him.

A visitation and celebration of Paul's life will be held at Rocky Sink Baptist Church, 8422 Rocky Sink Rd, Live Oak, FL, on April 28th, beginning at 4:00 p.m. for visitation and services at 5:00 p.m.
