Ray B. Poteet, 72, Live Oak, FL passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on August 9, 1952 to Emert R. and Marguerite Poteet and was of Christian faith. Ray played football at the University of Tampa and was also a Bouncer for Lynard Skynard at The Still. He was an artist; he painted, did drawings, and string art. Ray worked for Florida Paint and TNT Buildings and he retired in 2012.

Ray is survived by his girlfriend: Pam King; one son: Zachary Wyatt Poteet; one brother: Emert Poteet; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Emert & Marguerite Poteet; sisters: Joan Parrish, Debra Higdon, and brother: Floyd Poteet.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
