Richard T. Dees, a lifelong resident of Day, FL, passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on December 14, 1962, in Madison, FL, Richard was the son of the late Thetis F. and Gladys B. Dees. He was a dedicated member of Brewer Lake Baptist Church and spent 27 years working as a welder at Watkins Construction in Perry, FL before retiring.

Richard is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cindy L. Dees. He also leaves behind his sister, Irene D. Calhoun and her husband Mike of Mayo, FL, and his brothers, Eugene E. Dees of Lake City, FL, and Foye P. Dees and his wife Mattie of Dowling Park, FL. Richard was a loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 12th at Daniels Memorial Chapel, with Mr. Darrin Driver officiating. Richard will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his faith, and his community.
