Robert "Bob" Julius Sansouci, Sr., 83, of Live Oak, Florida passed away on October 21, 2023. He was born on June 1, 1940, to Henry Marvin Sansouci and Christina Vincent Sansouci in Laconia, New Hampshire.

Bob served in the United States Navy and while at port at the Naval Station Mayport in 1958, he and a fellow Sailor drove to Live Oak to meet their dates. Bob met the love of his life that day and two years later (1960), he married her at Mt. Olive Church in Wellborn, FL. He and his bride, Marion Marie Morgan Sansouci, were married 61 years when she passed away in 2021. He said they had a "perfect love" for each other. He adored her. They had three children: Tresca (Jay) Anderson, Robert "Bobby" Sansouci (Amy) of Live Oak, FL, and Lisa (Paul) Garrison of McAlpin, FL.  After the Navy, Bob drove a semi-truck for a few years and then began a career of 14 years at Florida Rock Mines starting as a master dragline operator to becoming a Superintendent which kept his family moving a lot. After being asked to move to Texas, he decided to resign and move back to Live Oak, bought a gas station and began driving a semi again. He drove until retirement.

Bob loved God, his family, his church, camping, the Smokey Mountains, and the Seminoles! You could catch him early in the morning reading his Bible and preparing for the day. He knew God's word and he loved to share it. He was very talented! He could draw, design, or build anything! He was very sweet, kind, gentle, and loved to be silly. Even with dementia, he was the same to the end.

He was called "Papa" by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, some bonuses, and all their friends. Bob and Marion were "Papa and Mimi" to so many.

He was predeceased by his wife, Marion and son, Bobby. His parents, and siblings Hank, Joseph, Lois, and Ruth.

He is survived by two sisters, Karen Hough and Sherri Anderson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to his church that he felt strongly about or Haven Hospice who cared for him for many months.
