Robert T. “Bobby” Wells, 41, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away on August 30, 2026. He was born in Lake City, Florida, on October 21, 1984.

Bobby grew up in Live Oak, where he attended local schools and graduated from Suwannee High School (Class of 2003). Live Oak was his home, and the community remained an important part of his life throughout the years.

Bobby was a man of Christian faith who dedicated 21 years of his life to serving others. His first job was as a teenager working in the kitchen at Camp Weed alongside his late uncle, Carl. He later served as a first responder with Jennings GP. He went on to build a 21-year career in EMS, spending the majority of his career with Union County and Hamilton County, with a period of service at Century as well. At one point, Bobby served as a captain with Hamilton County.

His mom, Bambi, taught him how to drive, never knowing that one day his driving would become something people talked about. At work, people would brag to his wife about how smooth he was behind the wheel of the ambulance and how much they trusted him to drive. It was one of those little things that made Bobby, Bobby.

Bobby was someone who always loved to joke around, make others laugh, and bring happiness to those around him. His sense of humor and kind heart made him a special person to those who knew him. He was beloved by his EMS family and formed friendships and bonds that went far beyond the workplace. His dedication to helping others and his ability to bring laughter into even the hardest days will be remembered by the many lives he touched.

Bobby had a deep love for music and especially enjoyed working music festivals. He particularly enjoyed working SpiritCare at Hulaween, where he loved being around the music, the atmosphere, and the people. He also loved attending theme parks and making memories with his family. Those experiences became another memorable part of his life.

Bobby was a huge sports fan, especially when it came to football. He was a lifelong Florida Gators fan and loved attending games with his father as a child. His love for the Gators continued throughout his life, and it was something he and his wife shared, attending several games and events together over the years. Bobby would often sing the “Orlando Magic” song to his wife and sis, a little piece of his personality that they will always remember. He loved cheering on his teams, talking about them, and sharing his passion for sports with the people around him. But no team held a more special place in Bobby’s heart than the Jacksonville Jaguars. DUUUVAL!

Above all, Bobby was a loving husband and father. He loved the family he made deeply, and being the father to William was the greatest joy and honor of his life.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Melissa Lambert of Live Oak; his parents, Tom and Bambi Wells of Live Oak; his son, William M. Wells of Live Oak; his two sisters, Suzanne Lambert of Orlando and Rebecca Wells of Lake City; his niece, Delilah Wells of Lake City; and his cousin, Kim Cox of North Carolina, whom Bobby loved and considered a sister.

Bobby has now joined his beloved dogs, Abigail and Corky, in heaven. We find comfort knowing he is reunited with two of his most faithful companions, who were surely waiting to welcome him home.

Bobby will be deeply missed by his family, friends, his EMS family, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his years of service. His laughter, kindness, humor, love of his family, passion for music, love of theme parks, and devotion to his teams will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

If you haven’t decided what to wear to Bobby’s service, remember that Bobby would want you to come as yourself. Feel free to wear your favorite sports team gear or bright, fun colors such as tie-dye—because that’s exactly how Bobby would have wanted it.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Daniels Funeral Home of Live Oak, Florida on Sept 12th at 11:00 am.
