Robert Taylor, 94, Taylorville, FL passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025. Born August 24, 1930, in Taylorville where he lived all of his life. He served in the US Army for 2 years during the Korean Conflict. He married Joyce Willis in 1950 and together they raised a family of four.

He was employed 32 years and retired from the VA Hospital in Lake City, FL. He weas a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Welborn, as well as a member of Corinth Lodge #96, Eastern Star Grace Chapter #8. He was elected and served as county commissioner in District 4 Suwannee County for Four years. He was chief of Taylorville Volunteer Fire Department and operated a pecan cracking business for many years where he enjoyed sharing his farm life with many people. He never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife: Sue Taylor, Sons: Robbie Taylor, David Taylor (Melanie), Tim Taylor (Judy), Daughter: Patty Roach (Jerry) all of Taylorville, along with Eleven Grandchildren, Nineteen Great-Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

There will be a visitation held on Monday, June 23rd at Daniels Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 24th at Taylor Cemetery.
