Ruby Jayne Dion, 78, Live Oak, FL passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. She was born in Columbia , SC, worked many years as a bookkeeper, expressed her creativity through art - especially colored pencils and wildlife imagery. She loved being outside and enjoyed nature and was very involved at her church. Mrs. Dion was known for having a green thumb and enjoyed spending time gardening and making things grow.

She met the love of her life, Bob Dion, through his sister after her family moved to Hollywood, Fl from Columbia, SC when she was in high school. They were married on February 25, 1966 and enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage together building a wonderful life and family. In 1991 they moved from Plantation, FL to Deland, FL where they enjoyed traveling, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and working together in their church, Immanuel Presbyterian.

Mrs. Dion is survived by her daughter: Patrice Parker (Jeff); son: Robert Trent Dion (Angela); brother: Wayne Walker; sister-in-law: Betty Bertani; two grandchildren: Casey Parker, Micaela Watt, and step grandchild: Shelby Teat.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 pm April 13th at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Deland, FL.
