Rufus Hural Davis Sr., 82, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on November 15, 2025, unexpectedly at home, surrounded by loving family. Rufus Hural Davis, Sr., was born May 28, 1943, in Live Oak, Fl, the son of Samuel and Mardell Davis. He graduated from Suwannee High School in 1962, then went on to work with the Florida Department of Agriculture for thirty years, and another five years with the USDA, retiring in 2003.

Rufus was married to Linda Davis for 59 beautiful years, and they had two children together. They stood side by side, creating a warm and loving home for their family, lived a life enriched by a rare and steadfast love, one that carried them through decades of cherished memories that remained strong through every season. Rufus enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing, gardening, and woodworking. He was incredibly talented in everything he did.

Remaining to cherish Rufus' memory are Spouse, Linda Davis; Children Shenea Lancaster (Robert Lancaster), R.H Davis Jr. (Heather Davis); Grandchildren Trevor Harlan, Makayla Davis (Dale McGowan), Lindsey Hale (Ryan Hale), Ashly Hinrichs (John Hinrichs), Cody Lancaster; Great-grandchildren Beau Sagraves, Baby Hale, Colin Hinrichs, Owen Hinrichs; Sibling Jennette Haney; and many Nieces and Nephews.

Preceding Rufus in death are Parents Samuel and Mardell Davis, Siblings Roscoe Davis, Thurman Davis, Doris Glass, Wendell Davis, and Ozell Hill.

We take comfort in knowing that Rufus is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. His faith, love, and gentle spirit will remain with us always, until we are reunited again.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 5pm to 7pm at Daniels Funeral Home, Live Oak, Fl. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 19,2025,5 at 11 am at Daniels Funeral Home, Live Oak, Fl. Burial to follow at Beulah Baptist Church.
