Sara Wheeler Box, 76, Jacksonville, FL passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023. The Jacksonville, FL-born native moved back to Jacksonville twelve years ago and was a member of Avondale United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. She taught for over forty years at the following schools: Hogan Spring Glen, Hamilton County Elementary, and Suwannee Middle School. Mrs. Box was a Music Major in College, where she had a scholarship to Jacksonville University for piano. Later Sara received her Master's degree in education administration at Nova Southeastern University. She loved to sing in the choir, spend time on the beach, and enjoy time outside on a sunny day.

Mrs. Box is survived by her daughter: Rebecca E. Box, Jacksonville, FL, and son: Ethan E. Box, Jacksonville, FL.

Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, July 26th at Avondale United Methodist Church in Jacksonville with Pastor Clare Watson Chance officiating.

Graveside committal services will be held at 3:30 pm Wednesday, July 26th at Live Oak Cemetery.
