TIMOTHY ANDREW MAY
SEPTEMBER 26TH 1988 – NOVEMBER 6th 2023

Timmy was born on September 26th, 1988, at Wuesthoff Memorial Hospital in Rockledge, Florida. Timmy had a passion for sports at a very young age. He literally practiced baseball in diapers alongside his older brothers, (Alan and David) at the age of two years old. You could always tell where he was on the practice field, with his long, curly blond hair hanging out of the back of his baseball hat. Timmy excelled in Little League Baseball, consistently being chosen for all-star teams, every year he played as a first baseman, catcher, and power hitter.

Timmy married the love of his life (Erica Sparks) right after high school and they went on to have six precious, beautiful children......Felicity, Timberlee, TJ, Hope, Alexander, and Toby. As Timmy's children grew older, softball fields, baseball fields, and football fields is where he loved to spend time with his children, and where you would be able to find him, on a daily basis. There were many times when Timmy would go from one field to another, to be able to participate in each one's practices and games. Timmy leaves some big shoes to fill as he coached rec. ball, travel ball, middle school ball, and most recently, JV head coach and Varsity assistant coach for The Suwannee High School Bulldogs softball teams. Timmy touched countless children's lives throughout his coaching tenures and was always well liked and respected by his players, coaches, umpires (sometimes), and fans. Timmy was employed by The Suwannee County Sports and Recreation Department from February 25th, 2019 to his passing and was involved before that as a fields coordinator, looking over all fields and games daily to ensure all ran smoothly. Working for the recreation department was an ideal situation for Timmy because he spent his days working there and his evenings with his children, sharing the passion he loved for sports with them, sometimes to the wee hours of the evening. The little time Timmy was not at the ballpark, he enjoyed watching Florida State Seminole sports with his family, directing Karaoke
sing along with the family, and hanging out with family and friends.

Timmy is survived by his loving wife of sixteen years, Erica May, children Felicity May, Timberlee May, Timothy May II, Hope May, Alexander May, and Toby May. He is also survived by his mother, Kris May and his father, Randy May, mother in law Angie Sparks, father in law, Michael Sparks and sister in law Erin Sparks; his siblings: Alan May (Sebrina), David May (Ashley) and Kelli May (Kyle). Timmy is also survived by his aunt Kelly Caudill and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by Great grandmother Sophie Winters, grandmother Barbara Caudill, grandfather Richard Caudill, grandfather Frankie May, Grandmother Sandra May, Aunts GiGi Susong, and Beverly Thompson.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be observed on November 18th, 2023 at 4pm at The First Federal Sports Complex in Live Oak, FL.
