Vickie Tackett, a devoted Christian, cherished wife, and beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 9, 2024. She was the deeply loved wife of William Tackett, with whom she shared 56 years of unwavering love, friendship, laughter, dreams, compassion, commitment, and constant companionship.

Together, they built a strong and faith-filled family, raising three children - Kerry, PaTricia, and William - whose lives were immeasurably blessed by her wisdom, love, and guidance.

Vickie was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, whose boundless affection embraced every generation. Her family was her heart, but above all, her greatest joy was being a Daughter of Christ. Her deep faith served as her foundation, and she was steadfast in her service to her ministry, where she effortlessly blended humor with Bible-base truth. She had a unique talent for making people laugh while leading them closer to God's Word, and this gift resonated with all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born and raised in Wabash, Indiana, Vickie's pure love for the ocean was ever present in her life. It was that love, combined with her devotion to her son, that eventually led her to Florida, where she found peace and wonder in its beauty.

Vickie's life was a testament to passion, strength, and service. As a trailblazer in her career fields, she broke barriers with grace and grit, leaving a legacy of inspiration for others to follow. Her love for the arts - whether through theatre, acting, or singing - brought joy to everyone who had the pleasure of witnessing her talents.

Her heart was as vast as her love for life. Vickie's compassion knew no bounds, whether she was bringing joy to the young and elderly or caring for the homeless with kindness and humility. At home, her love for her dogs was unmatched, reflecting her nurturing spirit and boundless compassion.

Vickie was a remarkable woman, embodying unwavering faith, inner strength, and enduring love. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the love and respect of all who knew her. Her legacy of faith, family, and service will continue to inspire generations to come.

She is survived by her husband: William Tackett; three children: Kerry (John) Storms, PaTricia (Tom) Boone, William (Alicia) Tackett; grandchildren: Sarah, Samantha, and Cassie; great-grandchildren: Kaydence, Madelyn, Asher, Odin, Ottilie, and Lucy; plus many brothers and sisters in flesh and in Christ.
