Wesley Neal Tanksley, age 59, was born on March 23, 1965, in Cleveland, Tennessee, and moved to heaven on October 21, 2024, at 2:30 pm in Live Oak, Florida at home surrounded by his family.

He began his ministry at Lake Wire Church of God in Lakeland, Florida organizing and directing the New Dimensions Choir. His commitment to faith deepened in 1987 when he began full-time ministry at Celebration Church of God in Zephyrhills, Florida. Pastor Wes dedicated much of his life to ministry, commencing his spiritual leadership in the Church of God, where he was instrumental in discipling and mentoring countless people.

Wes leaves behind his beloved wife, Yolanda Tanksley; daughter Kayla Tanksley McDonald and son-in-law Brandon McDonald; son Ryan Tanksley and daughter-in-law Rachael Tanksley; and granddaughter Jade McDonald. He is also survived by his mother, Edna Tanksley, and brother Mike Tanksley. He was preceded in his move to heaven by his father, Ernie Tanksley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Live Oak Church of God. The public visitation will commence at 10 a.m. followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m. Interment will be Monday at 1:00 pm  October 28, 2024, in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Sanford, FL.
