Wiley R. "Bob" Hodges, aged 91, of McAlpin, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Born in Andalusia, AL, Bob was a dedicated member of the United States Coast Guard, serving for 23 years and retiring with the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was also a member of the Chief Petty Officer Association.

In 1980, Bob moved to McAlpin from St. Pete, FL, and owned/operated Hodge Pops from 1990 to 1992. He was also a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-eight years, Vonnie Hodges of McAlpin, FL; his daughters, Cheryl Burrell of McAlpin, FL, and Theresa Rickrode (John) of Bradenton, FL; his son, Robert "Kevin" Hodges of McAlpin, FL; and his sisters, Wanda Graddy and Patricia Lynch, both of AL. He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alton and Ruth Hodges; his son, Mark Hodges; and his brothers, James Hodges, William Hodges, and Donniewood Hodges.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 8th at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. David Teems, Rev. Marshall Faulkenberry, Rev. Fritz Fountain, Rev. Charles Scrivener, and Rev. Gary King officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th at Daniels Funeral Homes from 5:00-7:00 pm.
