Willard Hewiett, of Live Oak, Florida, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Live Oak on December 19, 1940.

Willard was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He proudly retired from the City of Live Oak after 35 years of dedicated service to his community. An avid hunter and fisherman, Willard especially cherished time spent outdoors. He loved being surrounded by family and close friends, had a wonderful sense of humor, and never met a stranger. Willard also enjoyed playing the guitar and singing country music. He was truly loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Judith Hewiett of Live Oak; his daughters, Wendy Perrin of Valdosta, Georgia, and Donna Bass (Tim) of Live Oak; and his grandchildren, Trevor Lister (Nicole) of Live Oak, Destiny Fox (Chris) of Panama City, Levi Bass of Live Oak, and Lexi Townsend (Josh) of White Springs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Axsom Hewiett; his mother, Eva Hewiett; his sisters, Clarice Kelley (P.F.) and Delories O'Steen (George); his brother, JC Hewiett (Annette); and his son-in-law, Chad Perrin.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida, with Brother David McKeithen officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
