William A. "Bill" Engel, 76, Live Oak, FL passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Born in Hialeah, Florida, Bill moved to Live Oak 30 years ago from Davie Florida. Bill served our country as a navy Seabee during the Vietnam war. Bill and his his beloved wife Karen owned and operated Karen's Tack, where Bill was predominantly known for his fine saddle and leather repair work. Together they also raised cattle, and shared a love for team roping, fishing and golfing. Bill loved to tell stories and share jokes. He excepted God, and was re-baptized in 2015.

He is survived by his granddaughter: Brandi Ludwig (Chad Walton); grandson: Jeffrey Smiley (Desiree); and great-grandchild: Dana Smiley. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-seven years: Karen Engel and daughter: Lisa Engel Ludwig.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 9th at his home 17713 104th Street Live Oak, FL. Service begins at 3 pm with a military recognition to follow at 4pm.
