William Clyde Blanton, Sr., age 87 passed away the morning of October 3, 2024 at his home in Live Oak, FL. Mr. Blanton was born in the Coconut Grove section of Miami, Florida on November 5, 1936 to William Conray and Ellie Blanton. He left school early to work to help support the family, which started his fishing ventures. At seventeen he joined the United States Air Force receiving an honorable discharge after four years. Upon returning home, he continued in the commercial fishing industry eventually buying his own boat and equipment making it his lifelong career. He met the love of his life from across the street and married Juanell in June 1958. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, wife: Juanell, and sisters: Betty Jenkins and Barbara Hand. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law Billy and Brenda Blanton, Brother: Wayne Blanton, Grandson: Robbie (Brittany) Blanton, and Great-Granddaughters: Cambria and Harper.

A graveside service to celebrate Mr. Blanton's life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday October 8, 2024, at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Branford, Florida.
