William H. Carroll, 93, Gainesville, FL, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023. The Many, Louisiana-born native was a Peace Time Veteran while serving in the United States Navy and was a member of Ochlawilla Baptist Church. He worked at Rountree Moore Ford in Lake City, FL for twenty years and also worked at AT&T for thirteen years.  Mr. Carroll is survived by his daughter: Helen Preus (Paul) Archer, FL; sons: William "Bill" Carroll (Marsha), Gilbert, SC, Walter Carroll (Brenda), Quitman, GA, David Carroll (Jane) Vidalia, GA and Marty Null (Eilleen), Madison, FL; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorris Symons Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Parkview Baptist Church, Lake City with Rev. Dewey Fountain officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. There will be a visitation held prior to the service at the church from 10:00 am until service time.
