William T. “Billy” Jackson, 85, of Live Oak, FL, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, leaving behind a life deeply rooted in faith, family, hard work, and the land he loved. Billy was a lifelong farmer and a true steward of the land. Through Jackson Family Farms, he dedicated his life to caring for crops, working long days, and providing for the family he loved so dearly. Farming was more than an occupation to Billy—it was who he was. Billy was tough, hardworking, and dependable, with a piece of chewing tobacco never too far away. But beneath that toughness was a man who loved deeply. He cared for many people throughout his life and was always willing to lend a hand when someone needed help. Above all, Billy loved his family. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and even had a special place in his heart for six grand dogs, whom he called his “mutts.” Billy is survived by his loving wife, Faye Jackson; his children, Bill Jackson (Nikki), and Leslie Jackson Mobley (Dwain); his grandchildren, Wyatt Jackson (Mallory), Savannah Jackson Olsen (Kevin), and Morgan Mobley; his siblings, Ramona Curl, and Andy Jackson (Cheryl Ann), brother-in-law, Bill Yeager; along with many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lillie Mae Jackson, his sister, Shirley Yeager, and brother-in-law, Conny Curl. Billy leaves behind far more than fields he tended or crops he raised. He leaves a legacy of perseverance, hard work, generosity, and love—a legacy that will live on through Jackson Family Farms and, most importantly, through the family he worked so hard to provide for. His work on this earth is finished, but the seeds he planted—in the ground and in the lives of those who loved him—will continue to grow for generations to come.

A celebration of his life will be held 10:00 am Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Clayland Baptist Church. A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Daniels Funeral Home.
