Zoe Ann Gamble, 86, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Zoe Ann was born on October 3, 1937, in Live Oak, Florida. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Hubert Gamble. In addition, she is survived by her children Paula Land, Sandy Laxton (David) and Shana Hatfield (Jay) all of Live Oak. Zoe Ann is also survived by her grandchildren, Whitney Land (Morgan), Garret Land (Kristie), Lee Laxton, Brittany Page (Andrew), Travis Laxton (Jessica), Chase and Bryce Hatfield. Great-grandchildren, Julianna Land, Jett Land, Brielyn Land, Tommy Laxton, Edison, Murphy and Lawrence Page, Archer, and Arlington Laxton. Zoe was preceded in death by her daughter, Vivian Gamble.

Zoe and Hubert were not only life-long spouses, but they were also partners in farming in their early years, and later in their business, Gamble Construction. Upon retirement at Dekle Beach, FL they thrived on entertaining beloved family and friends from near and far. The highlights of their Dekle Beach days included fishing, cooking, eating, and playing games.

In her final days, Zoe found comfort in the deep and fulfilling life she had with her husband, Hubert. They often had heartfelt discussions about their journey together and were at peace because of their unwavering Christian faith.

Countless friends, nieces, nephews, and sometimes perfect strangers were also in Zoe Ann's circle of love. Her ability to express love in words and deeds was her greatest gift. Her hugs were unmatched.

Throughout her life, Zoe was known for her kindness, generosity, and steadfast love for her family.

The family will receive guests at the home of Jay and Shana Hatfield on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm. 201 Gay Street, SE, Live Oak, FL.

The funeral will be a private family service to honor the wishes of Zoe Ann.

Donations may be made in her honor to the Arc of North Florida.

Zoe Ann Gamble will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
